Medical Marijuana Treats Diabetes and Shrinks Your Waistline!!
Yes, you read this correctly.
A 2013 study published in The American Journal of Medicine showed that past and current marijuana use were associated with lower levels of fasting insulin, glucose, HOMA insulin resistance, BMI, and hemoglobin A1c.
There’s your cake, marijuana users. Now you get to eat it. The study also found that…
Current marijuana use also was found to be inversely associated with waist circumference!!!
What this means in English is that using marijuana decreases the metabolic processes and chemicals that lead to type 2 diabetes and that people who use marijuana are typically less fat than those who do not.
These studies are written by doctors and scientists so the tend to be very dry. I suggest reading the first page with the abstract. You can skip to the “Results” section if you want to get to the point. If you want to be sure the researchers used proper methodologies and the studies is objective, read the whole thing.
I can’t believe that there are people who know this information and still don’t believe that cannabis has medicinal value. I guess the fat is clogging their brains 😉
This study speaks for itself and because I don’t want to gloat anymore, I will simply attach a link to the study.
